La Storia del Borgo 979

Borgo 979 born from the wish of two friends to share the flavors and scents of the Tuscan Emilian Apennines kitchen with all those who find themselves in the center of Bologna. In particular the areas from Mount Abetone, following the ancient Via Francigena, leading from the mountain Pistoiese in Porretta Terme. From the lakes Suviana and Brasimone, from Corno alle Scale, up to the Modenese Apennines. With this in mind we decided to let everyone enjoy a selection of typical products of the mountain cuisine, with simple but rich-flavored ingredients. In our daily work we keep in mind the values that our grandparents gave us, such as the genuineness of the raw materials and the careful preparation of our dishes and that’s why we rely on to family-run businesses that shares our own ideals.

Il menu del Borgo 979

In our menu you can find the authentic Tuscan Emilian Apennines flavors offered through our tastings and our combinations. Discover tigelle in conjunction with porcini mushrooms with sausage, and with Cinta Senese ham, truffle tigelle and parmesan cream (one of our strong points!) And our ciacci with Parmesan cheese and chopped Cinta Senese or the Cinta lard. Enjoy the necci with squacquerone and bacon or with the Cinta Senese coppa. Let yourselves be conquered by our stuffed schiaccia montanara and tempted to taste our platters of DOP cheeses. Try our polenta with meat sauce, mushrooms or wild boar and discover the dishes of the day!
